New Generation SKYACTIV Engines

The conventional engines could only optimise 30% of potential energy present in fuels. To push the standard limits of internal combustion in the new 2016 Mazda CX-5, the SKYACTIV family of new engines was developed and they have been able to realise greater efficiencies as compared to other conventional engines.

These new generation engines compress the mixture of air and fuel within the cylinders to such an extent that every drop of fuel is utilized to extract more energy.
